No macros or VBA-sorcery needed

  1. Select all the cells in a sheet by pressing CTRL + A
  2. Press ALT + H + O + I
  3. Enjoy a better life

This is a trick I use daily, since I use Excel to check out CSV-exports that are produced by the software that I do development on. It has saved me quite a lot of time and effort when exporting large datasets with a lot of headers.

The trick is based on these parameters:

  1. H - will select HOME from the tool ribbon
  2. O - will select FORMAT
  3. I - will select Autofit column width

The secret sauce - how to do it with mouse
